Impressive coral reefs where tropical schools of fish and jellyfish cavort, huge manta rays with a span of several metres and whale families whose singing gives goose bumps...
Experience "DIVR", the world's first Virtual Reality snorkeling attraction, at the Therme Erding - an experience for all the senses!
Already in December last year, the guests were able to try out the unforgettable VR snorkelling during a three-week test phase and were completely enthusiastic about the unique attraction. In July and August, all VR fans have the chance again to be there live and up close when a new era of virtual reality technology begins.
Let yourself be taken on an exciting voyage of discovery through breathtaking coral reefs, shipwrecks and unearthed underwater caves and explore exotic places in native climes. Swim with turtles, colorful fish, hammerhead sharks and giant whales as you listen to soothing ocean sounds. Explore a world previously only explored at remote dive sites. Here you will feel free and weightless, lose your sense of space and time and get to know an unknown environment that seems endless.
That's how it works:
Hold by a swimming belt, you float on the water surface of the spacious outdoor pool, wearing a snorkel set with virtual reality function and music accompaniment. The VR expedition unfolds its full effect as you immerse yourself in the water: wearing the virtual reality goggles allows you to see 360° around and feel the fascinating underwater world.
The patented VR system was developed by Ballast in cooperation with the leading slide builder wiegand.waterrides.
Try out VR snorkelling in the outdoor wave pool in summer from Monday 1 July to Saturday 31 August 2019 - only with us at the Therme Erding.
